72 years of the NHS – fight to end privatisation and cuts

This weekend marked the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the NHS. Leeds had several events organised by Keep Out NHS Public. First were some limited number protest front of the the main hospitals on Saturday. Sunday there was a car cavalcade in South Leeds.

Socialist Party members took part in the car cavacade, and we got a decent response from the public, with numerous people along the route pumping their fists and clapping us. Especially as it’s not just another clap that Johnson can join in on but putting forward the demands about decent pay, kicking private companies out and having a properly funded NHS.
