Leeds Socialist Party members joined around 120 NEU strikers and supporters in Leeds on their sixth strike day. There was a good feeling and lots of good energy from the crowd, including the music at the end.
There was hope that the NEU would win their reballot and teachers were preparing to be out on strike together with other school trade unions in September.
Whilst the rally was taking place we had an interesting chat with a student from Malaysia who was telling us about the Socialist struggle over there, he bought a paper, 2 badges, gave us £10 and refused the change!
